Bhai sampatrao pawar was born on June 1, 1942, in the atmosphere of great tradition of varkari samprday and influence of prtisrkar and styshodhak movement.His father Govindrao Pawar was an active participant in the freedom struggle under the leadership of Krantisinh Nana Patil. After independence, they were working in the shetakri kamgar Party for the betterment of society and nation building. Due to the environment of such surrounding movement , sampatrao pawar were attracted to social work from childhood. Inspired by the influence of the Russian Revolution and Marxist ideology, it became active in the social work since being students. With the establishment of the state-wide 'purogami vidhyrthi sanghtana', they succeeded in resolving the problems of the students. Many historic movements that have made ameliorative changes in the state's policy by establishing the 'Mukti Sangharsh movement' have been successful.
